Wellness Program

The City of Porterville has an extremely active Wellness Program with the following health and wellness related activities:

• Physical Fitness Activity Incentives - designed to encourage a routine exercise habit and promote long term fitness

• Smoking Cessation Incentives

•   Weight Loss & Nutrition Program Incentives

• Fitness areas and activities available to all full-time city employees

• The Wellness Word - an internal, electronic newsletter with articles featuring strengthening exercises to avoid injuries, healthy recipes, updates on employees of the month, reading recommendations, etc.

• Managed Health Network (MHN) Employee Assistance Program- a confidential service designed to help employees and their household members resolve personal and workplace challenges
