The Firefighter is the "workhorse" of the team. Typical duties of a firefighter include maintenance of the fire stations; assisting the Engineer with apparatus maintenance as may be necessary; hydrant testing; business inspections; continuing education; and the performance of various tasks as may be required to mitigate an emergency, including stretching hose lines, raising ladders, performing search and rescue and fire suppression.
