A GREAT TIME FOR ALL - Something Different Every Week! Snow White made an appearance at the Early Learning Center located inside the Porterville City Library. Patrons of all ages were pleased to have a picture taken with her. Who will show up next? The Early Learning Center is a place where parents and their children can participate together to spark the flame of literacy. Children's Story Times Every Tuesday Morning Attention: Parents, pre-school and school aged children! Come join Sandi, Annamarie, and Arlie every Tuesday morning for stories, songs and crafts. Educational activities are planned each week to help children with counting, colors, alphabet and many other educational avenues. There are also celebrations and crafts for special Holiday story times. It is a FUN way for the children to meet and make new friends while learning to interact with other children their own age.
Every Wednesday Evening at the Heritage Center* 6:00 - 6:30 P.M. Story Time in Spanish. Staff will read books in Spanish to children. This is a great program for dual immersion students or anyone who enjoys the Spanish Language. Every Thursday Morning* 10:00 - 10:30 A.M. Boppy Story Time - Boppy story time is a special program for newborns. It is never too early to introduce children to reading. Parents will spend a special time sharing books with babies ages 1 day to 18 months. *See Calendar for Dates
