Free bowling to the first 300 people in the Summer Reading program at Porterville Lanes this Saturday, July 16th from 3pm to 6pm!!! Bring your reading log or sign up for the Summer Reading Program at the Porterville City Library or at the event the day of and enjoy free bowling.  Children under the age of 8 must be with an adult.

Reading can be one of the many fun activities children fill their summer time with.  Research has shown it is also much more!  Children who participate in public library summer reading programs not only avoid the "summer slide" in learning, but also score higher on reading achievement tests than those who do not participate.
