      Porterville City Library

Dear Friends,

As many of you are aware, our beloved Porterville City Library was consumed by a fire on February 18 and we lost two of our brave firefighters, Captain Raymond C. Figueroa and Firefighter Patrick L. Jones, during the battle. In wake of the tragedy we overlooked some previously scheduled emails and advertisements publicizing upcoming events at our Library. Please forgive us for this mistake. We truly appreciate your overwhelming support and understanding as we move forward.

We are proud to announce that the Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration will still take place on March 2 in a new location. Please see the flyer below for more details. We also have a drop-off location for checked out library items and book donations at 298 N Main St. (old Hoagie’s Heroes sandwich shop). The drop-off location will be open Monday- Saturday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, until further notice. Monetary donations can be directed to the City of Porterville (attention: Library) or The Friends of the Porterville Library.

Be sure to also follow us on our official social media accounts for the latest updates.
