For every can of food submitted during the "Food For Fine$" drive, the Porterville Public Library will waive $1.00 of overdue fees, up to $10.00.  The cans of food and other nonperishable items received must not be damaged or expired.  Patrons who have library accounts that have been sent to collections cannot participate.

Our objective is to collect enough food to contribute to the needs of our community.  This year the library will partner with Porterville Kiwanis Club, a non-profit organization that coordinates an annual family food basket giveaway.

The "Food For Fine$" drive will begin on Monday, October 22nd and will run through Saturday, December 22nd.

Patrons without fines who want to donate are encouraged to do so!
