As our days are filled with more indoor time, there are many ways to stay healthy and active.

Indoor Activities

Take virtual fitness classes – Some local gyms are offering their classes on demand, streaming during regular class hours, or posting their workout routines online.  There are also plenty of free options online. Here are just a few:

Outdoor Activities

The current social distancing guidance allows for individuals to engage in outdoor activity, provided the individuals comply with the social distancing requirements.  Just be sure to follow CDC’s guidance on personal hygiene like staying at home if you feel sick, keeping 6 feet from other people, etc.

  • Visit a local park- our parks are free and still open to the public
  • Walk/ run around your neighborhood and say hi to your neighbors from a distance
  • Go for a drive

Although we are distancing physically, now would be a great time to connect with family and friends from afar.  It is important to stay connected emotionally to our loved ones.
