 Adult Coed Volleyball
Registration opens July 1, 2010
Games will be played Tuesday evenings beginning August 31st, inside the Santa Fe School Gym. The league will play 10 games of 6 on 6 (3 men, 3 women), indoor volleyball.
Early-bird registration is $125 per team when paid by August 6th, general registration will be $150 per team.

Community CPR & First Aid Class
 This one day Red Cross class will certify you in Adult AED, Adult, Infant & Child CPR and Community First Aid. Cost: $60 Pre-registration required. Classes held at the Heritage Center, 256 E. Orange Ave .
Renewal Dates 2010: Wednesdays, 6:30pm-9pm, 7/21, 8/25, 9/22, 10/20, 11/17

Ping Pong Tournament

Innertube Basketball
Play 5 on 5 basketball while sitting in an innertube. Contact Leisure Services for the next session at the City Pool. This is a must try sport for ages middle school to adult.
Senior Christmas Dinner - December 12, 2010

A turkey dinner with all the fixings, entertainment and door prizes are planned to make this event enjoyable for all. Tickets are $8.00 in advance or $10.00 at the door. Space is limited! Buy your tickets early. Tickets may be purchased at the Heritage Center, 256 E. Orange. |
Water Aerobics
Classes now Open!
Mon/Wed/Fri classes in the City Pool at Murry Park from 6-7am Memorial Day through Labor Day. $2 per class.
Thursday Night Dance
Thursdays 7-10pm @ Veteran's Memorial Building. $5 admission. Jerry Hall & Trick Shot provide the entertainment for the various dancing styles.
Dive In Theatre
July 23-- Tooth Fairy

August 13-- Shark Tale
The last two Fridays in July and the first two Fridays in August, Dive In Theatre takes place in the City Pool at Murry Park. Cool off in the pool and watch a movie at the same time. Showtime is dusk. $5 for a family up to 6, $1 each additional family member.

Veteran's Day Run - November 11, 2010
This event features a 10K Run as well as a 5K run, 5K walk and a Kid’s Fun Run. The race begins at 7:00 a.m. in front of City Hall (291 N. Main Street) Downtown Porterville.
Awards will be given to 1st through 3rd place in each age category for running and walking events. All participants will receive an official race day shirt.
The entry fee is $15 for runners and $10 for walkers pre-registered and $18 for runners and $13 for walkers day of the race. Day of registration is from 5:45 – 6:30 a.m. The Kid’s Fun Run is FREE!
Open Gym
Basketball, volleyball, ping pong and more are offered seasonally. Ages 18 & up can come down to the Santa Fe School Gym, 286 E. Orange Ave., next to the Heritage Center and get a good workout. $1 per day. |
