Recreation Afterschool Program (RAP)

Enroll your child in an after school program that helps with homework, teaches arts & crafts, leads indoor and outdoor games and provides a fun and safe place to be!  Bus transportation available to most sites from most schools. 

RAP is offered by the City of Porterville Parks & Leisure Services and the Burton School District. 

Who:      Children K - 6th grades

When:    Everyday after school

Where:   Oak Grove, Burton and
                 Summit Charter Academy

Time:      Time of release - 5:45pm

Cost:      $4.50 per day, paid monthly only
               $25 administrative fee per family
               $5 discount for additional siblings

This program is on a first come, first served basis.  All children must re-enroll each school year.

1 Hour Program:
We have this option at our RAP sites. We wil lwatch your child from the time they get out of class up until 1 hour maximum. Cost is $2 per day, paid monthly, and a one time $25 administrative fee.

Bus Transportation:  It is the responsibility of the parent to contact Burton Transportation and set up transportation for your child.

SPACE IS LIMITED!

Register at the Heritage Center, 256 E. Orange Ave.  Hours are Monday- Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm. Registration packets and fees must be taken care of at least two days prior to the start of the program.
