Recreation Afterschool Program (RAP)

Enroll your child in an after school program that helps with homework, teaches arts & crafts, leads indoor and outdoor games and provides a fun and safe place to be!  Bus transportation available to most sites from most schools. 

RAP is offered by the City of Porterville Parks & Leisure Services and the Burton School District. 

REGISTRATION OPENS JULY 9, 2018 at 8AM.  ONLINE or at the Heritage Center.

Who:      Children K - 6th grades

When:    We have 2 programs.  We have RAP that starts after school until 5:45pm daily
               and a 1 hour program that starts after school and goes for 1 hour maximum.

Where:   Burton Elementary, Summit Charter Mathew Campus & Lombardi Campus.

Cost:      There is a monthly fee for both programs, for more information call the
               Heritage Center, 791-7695.  There is also an additional $25 administrative fee
               per family for new enrollees.

Bus Transportation:  It is the responsibility of the parent to contact Burton Transportation for your child.  Transportation phone # is 782-5949.

Other Important Info:  This program is on a first come, first served basis.  All children must re-enroll each school year.  Registration packets (Parent Contract) and fees must be taken care of at least 2 days prior to the start of the program.  Pre-K and T-K students are not accepted.
