The 5,590 square foot City Pool has a regular capacity for 280 swimmers and features a modern zero depth entry design with play equipment, a lap swim area, dive tank, diving board and 137 foot water slide.  Located at 97 N. Park Drive, the facility has life guards on duty at all times and also offers convenient access to Murry Park and the Porterville Golf Course.

Swim Sessions
The facility will follow the guidance issued by the California Department of Public Health related to safe environments during COVID-19.  There is limited capacity per swim session.  Reservations are strongly encouraged for all individuals entering the pool to secure a spot. Reservations can be made up to two days in advance. Visitors must arrive within 30 minutes of their reservation.

Monday- Friday

Lap Swim (reservation required)

  • 7:30 am- 8:30 am
  • 8:30 am- 9:30 am

Rec Swim (reservations recommended)

  • 10:00 am- 11:30 am
  • 12:00 pm- 1:30 pm
  • 2:30 pm- 4:00 pm
  • 4:30 pm- 6:00 pm
  • 6:30 pm- 8:00 pm

Saturday & Sunday*

  • 1:00 pm- 2:30 pm
  • 3:00 pm- 4:30 pm

*June 27- 28:  Rec swim sessions will take place 5:00- 6:30 pm & 7:00- 8:30 pm only.

COVID-19 Guidelines

  • Pool capacity is limited to allow for social distancing.
  • Slide closed.
  • Swim sessions are 90 minutes.  Reservations are required.
  • Temperature checks upon entering facility.
  • Disinfecting between sessions.
  • No gathering on the pool deck.
  • Adhere to social distancing guidance

Pool Rules

  • Swim wear is required for all persons who wish to get in the pool.  Optional t-shirts must be white!
  • Everyone entering the facility must pay the admission price- no refunds
  • No running or rough playing
  • No eating in the pool
  • No diving in the shallow end
  • No life vests (except attached to bathing suit), water wings, or floatation devices
  • One person on the diving board at a time
  • Non-swimmers remain in shallow end
  • Feet first only on the slide
