Brian E. Ward

Council Member Brian Ward has been happily married to his wife Yvette for nine years and they have five wonderful children; four boys and a girl.  He is currently active in coaching local youth sports and is responsible for running adult and youth sports programs in his church.  Council Member Ward is a member of Rotary International where he spends time and resources to improve the Porterville community.  He is currently employed with the Burton School District as a School Psychologist where he works with students on a daily basis teaching them problem solving skills that help them in overcoming life's challenges.

Council Member Ward holds a Master's degree in Education with a PPS credential in School Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  He has received additional training in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Management and Leadership, Intercultural Communication, Modern Social Issues; and he is currently working on becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. 

Council Member Ward currently serves as the Vice Mayor of the City of Porterville.
