The fourth-annual Christmas Home Decorating Contest invites community members to deck out their walls, rooftops, doors and yards with the brightest lights and most festive décor. All participants will receive a yard sign to identify their home for the contest so be sure to grab a cup of cocoa and load up the family vehicle to check out the festive homes.
People's Choice
The People's Choice category is up to you! Hit the 'Vote Now' button below to scroll through our online photo gallery or take the tour and decide in-person! You have until Thursday, December 21 at 12:00 PM to get in the spirit. Our judges will be visiting all of the homes to determine category winners and all results will be announced on December 22.

Contest Details
Homes will be judged in several categories. "People's Choice" will be determined by photo submissions from the contestants and the most votes from the public through an online poll.
- All participants will receive a yard sign to identify their home for the contest.
- Our team of judges will be assessing each home using different criteria. Awards will be given out in the following categories:
- Merry & Bright: Best use of lights
- Santa’s Workshop: Best use of technology, movement and music
- Tree-mendous Theme: Best theme
- Creative Elf: Best homemade
- Incredible Inflatables: Best inflatable display
- Holiday Spirit: Best overall
- In-person judging will take place the week of December 18. Participants do not need to be present or available during judging. Only homes in the City of Porterville are eligible for the Judges' Choice category.
- People's Choice will be voted on by the public based on participant photo submissions. Participants can chose not to enter this portion of the contest.
- Winners will be announced by December 24 on our social media pages and website.
- There is no cost to register!
- Entries will be accepted December 1- 18.
