Divisions
The County School Qualifier and the Valley Championship meets follow the standards of USA Track & Field (USATF), which determine the competition age as of December 31, 2023. Divisions are determined by birth year (not birthdate).
Bantam: 2013 or later
Midget: 2011- 2012
Youth: 2009- 2010
Intermediate: 2007- 2008*

Medals are available in the Parks & Leisure office at 15 E. Thurman Ave., Ste A. If an athlete can't pick up a medal, please have the coach contact our office for accommodations at parks_leisure@ci.porterville.ca.us or (559) 782-7521.
Valley Championship Meet
The top three finishers in individual events advance to the Valley Youth Championship Meet 2023. The first place team finisher in relays advance to the Valley Meet.
- When: Saturday, May 6
- Where: Buchanan High School – Home of the CIF State Track & Field Meet
- Cost: $10 per person, athletes included. Payable by cash, card, apple pay or checks from schools only. Checks must be made out to Fresno Flames.
- Only athletes and relay teams representing their schools may compete. NO CLUB TEAMS MAY PARTICIPATE. NO CLUB UNIFORMS CAN BE WORN.
- Relay team members must be wearing matching shirts (this can be just a t-shirt).
