Welcome to the Porterville Police Department's website. I am extremely proud to serve as Chief of Police for such an outstanding city. I am confident that our Department holds some of the most professional, dedicated, loyal, and hard-working individuals throughout the law enforcement profession. We are dedicated to providing a vibrant and safe community where people will want to visit, businesses will want to locate, and families will want to raise their children.

The members of our department are committed to using proactive and predictive policing approaches to reduce crime in our city so we may keep our streets, schools, parks, and neighborhoods safe. We work hard to understand the needs of our city residents and meet those needs by utilizing the most up to date policing approaches to identify and solve problems, actively preventing criminal acts, and aggressively apprehending persons committing criminals in a manner which is consistent with the law and department policy.

We truly believe that the relationships we have with our city officials, school districts, business community and city residents, is what keeps all of us safe. It is the Porterville Police Department’s responsibility to provide a service and that service is public safety.
