Martha A. Flores- District 3

Martha A. Flores was born, raised and educated in Porterville. Retired after 28 years from a long career as an executive level administrative assistant with Porterville Unified School District, Martha has an extensive history of involvement in the community both locally and countywide. She belongs to many local organizations and has taken active roles on various boards and task force committees. These organizations include: Porterville Chamber of Commerce, St. Anne’s School Auxiliary, Sierra View Local HealthCare District, Family HealthCare Network, Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Youth Services Advisory Board, El Futuro Credit Union Supervisory Audit Committee, Sierra View District Hospital Foundation, Celebrate the Child Within, Comision Honorifica Mexicana Americana Pageant Coordinator, Tulare County Domestic Violence Task Force, Central California Family Crisis Center, and Porterville Women’s Day Conference. She has served in a leadership position as Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary for many of these organizations.   As the founder and coordinator of “Frugal Fashions” Martha developed a small business and volunteer program, which helped members of the community dress from thrift stores for job success on a limited budget.
